What is Streetwear?

Streetwear is commonly defined as casual clothing inspired by various countercultures/subcultures.

These subcultures include be skate, surf, hip-hop, punk, rock, and any other counterculture group.

The meaning of subcultures often get skewed, but in simple terms, it is group of people that have a certain set of beliefs or interests that are not necessarily inclined with the majority group.

For example, in a place like India, most people prefer watching cricket. So then, people who prefer watching football form a sports subculture.

Streetwear brands try to cater to these non-conformist groups, or people that have alternate interests.

What is Streetwear style?

Streetwear style commonly include oversized t-shirts and hoodies paired with either joggers, sweatpants, cargos, or jeans, and sneakers on foot. Many accessorize using tote bags, beanies and hats.
