This is the colorway that broke the rules. When the Air Jordan 6 "Carmine" first hit the court in 1991, its bold color blocking was a radical departure from anything that had come before. It was a statement of pure, unapologetic confidence, and it became an instant legend.
The 2021 retro was a momentous occasion, celebrating the 30th anniversary by bringing back a crucial detail for the very first time on a retro: the "Nike Air" on the heel. This made it the truest recreation of the shoe Michael Jordan wore on his way to his first championship.
The design is a masterpiece of high-contrast power. A deep, rich red "Carmine" nubuck base is aggressively overlaid with clean white leather panels. Sharp black accents on the midsole and tongue provide the perfect balance.
