Designed by Jillian Beagley, a liver transplant recipient, the Air Jordan 6 'Doernbecher' released January 25, 2025 as part of the Doernbecher Freestyle program's 20th anniversary collection with OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. A pink, white, light blue, and soft green palette gives the pair an Easter-inspired, pastel look, with heart-shaped cut-outs replacing the model's usual perforations.
Metallic gold appliques dress the mid-foot eyelet, lace lock, and heel spoiler, while cursive lettering at the toe nods to the designer's personal story. Proceeds from the release support the hospital's Area of Greatest Need, continuing a two-decade tradition of patients designing their own Nike footwear.
