The Air Jordan 5 Retro Fire Red returns in 2025 as part of the silhouette's 35th anniversary celebration, reviving one of the two original 1990 Fire Red colorways. This version is distinguished by its black tongue in place of the reflective silver seen on its sibling colorway, along with a red Jumpman graphic and reversed shark-tooth midsole coloring, more red than black.
The white leather upper is set off by translucent mesh side panels for breathability, a reflective lace lock system, and the fighter jet-inspired shark-tooth midsole detailing that has defined the AJ5 since Tinker Hatfield's original design. It's also the only original Fire Red colorway to carry an embroidered 23 on the lateral heel alongside a visible Nike Air unit underfoot, both nods to the shoe's 1990 debut.
