One of only four original 1990 Air Jordan 5 colorways, 'Grape' broke from the Chicago Bulls' red-black-white formula with a bold White, Grape Ice, New Emerald, and Black palette. Popularized by Michael Jordan on a Wheaties box and later immortalized by Will Smith's character on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the colorway returns for 2025 as part of the AJ5's 35th anniversary celebration.
This release stays true to the original 1990 shape and proportions, with a White leather upper set off by Black, New Emerald, and Grape Ice accents across the shark-tooth midsole. It marks the first time since the original release that this colorway carries Nike Air branding on the heel, finished with the AJ5's signature reflective 3M tongue and icy translucent outsole.
